I really like that idea of your baseball league. Losing the pick on the round you took the guy adds a lot more strategy to a keeper league. If possible, I''d rather do that than a straight keeper's league.

Yeah, me too, makes it a lot more interesting than just keeping guys who are first/second round value............a lot more thought involved.

I shall find out more about how to implement it on yahoo (obviously never done it before, let alone this new way of subbing out later picks) but lets provisionally say that is how we will do it until anyone objects.

It can be easily done if we have the draft on the board. We have our picks on this very thread, so it'd be easy to follow the round each guy went and just forfeit that pick for each team in next year's draft. Then you could enter the full rosters on yahoo.

What a perfect shit storm of a week!
I was in first place the majority of the season. I get the bye week. My team had a great week during that bye. I get to my first playoff matchup and 6 players get injured benched or mysteriously out of the lineup. Gasol, Dragic, Joe Johnson, Nene, Mayo and now on the last day LEBRON does not play. Klay has a shit week. F*ck the bye! F*ck fantasy basketball! LoL

Congrats on making it to the Championship round E-man. I thought I might be able to steal a couple of categories from you today, but your team came up big. Nice job.

    Congratz Ms. Nachos

Psycho Bitch vs. E-Man! Let the Championship series begin!!!

Ahh...........HELLO!!!!!!.............man, I came in here expecting to just summarise the playoffs so far and congratulate/commiserate with those who participated all by my lonesome but good to see people still care!

It certainly has been a weird one, and a tough one for the top teams.............I refrained from ranting last week (and the last couple of weeks of the regular season) as it would not have been pretty, a total capitulation, injuries, bad form and some fluky ass games against me lost me 2nd place bye week by a tie!!!!! with multiple tied categories the last couple of match ups before the playoffs.

Then, E-Man starts the week against me with a 43 point monster game from Jeff Green, then gets career high games from Ariza with 7 3's.............I clawed my way back from a big hole, had a choice of Dorell Wright and Brandan to try and push me over the edge on the Sunday. I went with Brandan, and of course, Dorell has a big game and would have won me the match up if Id chosen him.

And yeah, then comes our run away all season leader being toppled by.............my Mrs!!!! ............and even when she forgot to set her lineup on the Monday!!! but man, Pat had about as rough a week as you could have, really shit that your whole season boils down to that after such consistency man.

But still, many congrats to you bro for building such a power house team all year............great start to you fantasy career.

So yeah, its E-Man (probably loving that he got revenge on me for taking the title from him the last time we had a league, where he was the 1 seed and I was 6th) and my baby in the final!...........she woke up this morning and was looking through her schedule and made some moves, she said she wanted to apologise to Pat but then also said "Right..........E-Man, more like ShE-Man, get beaten by a girl!!!". :roflmao: I love her smack talk. :hearts:

Thanks for staying into it fellas, we had a couple of drop outs unfortunately and we will probably need replacements for them next season.............for those not playing for anything major, time to think about keepers.

    what's keepers?

Didn't help that I was out of town all last week and virtually unable to think about my team beyond checking in and setting lineups.
I saw that many people made moves over the weekend that could help their teams. Unfortunately, I was in full on visiting family mode, and flying back to the Bay all day yesterday. I don't even know what moves I would have made..
Ok, I did one last night.. A real season saver... Green for Delfino...
I'm so pissed about last week and fed up with it, I have about as much interest in it to simply set my lineups and let the chips fall.

Seems like counting games and trading some of your best players for four game week shit players is the way to win your playoff match ups.
I don't have it in me... Live by Nene, die by Nene... lol. Plus I have so much work to catch up on.

Good luck Chum, if you win this week, you hustled for it!!

Oh man do I feel your pain! I hate this time of year for Fantasy Basketball!

If only those who are already out of the race were forced to release their roster!

Sorry but have to vent again.

On my team that has Wade being fuckin rested all week, Parker missed a game, then came back and got injured AGAIN...........Parsons missed a game, came back for one and is now injured AGAIN, ohh and Aldridge has been out all week but hopefully will today!

Other championship week team, LeBron being rested and Kawhi the same apart from one game.

Just an effin brutal week, how many god damned players in the league? and mine just keep getting rested and raped. :bang :bang :bang

Damn. Didn't realize the fantasy season ended with today's games... Kind of short... I would have spammed the FA pool and dropped Nash if I knew it ended today :D  . I thought it would have went on for another week as fantasy finals usually last two weeks, no? Oh well... Congrats, Jen! Was a tough battle but I'd say considering you and I were 5th and 6th place, respectively, ending the season, that this season ended rather excitingly. If I was going to lose, I wouldn't have it any other way!

And I'll disregard that SHE-man remark because I am just as much a fan of trash talk as anyone, lol.

I had a great season y'all! Considering my team was left for dead a bunch of times this season, ending 2nd is a victory for me, not a consolation. I hope we can get another one going next season as well!

HUGE CONGRATZ TO MS NACHOS!!!

Now... I shall never speak of this this to anyone. Yes, I am a male chauvinist pig who can't stand losing to a woman in fantasy sports. Did she really chose players by their haircuts?!?! Christ :bang :bang :bang

My team saw so many injuries. I didn't realize Bargnani was out a few weeks ago since I don't pay attention to Toronto. And I tried sticking by Kevin Love for so long, I gave up on him too late. I guess that's what happens when I manage my team more from my phone than CPU. I just think I understand fantasy football better than basketball, to be honest.

    Oh well...

Congrats to those who did well this year.

LMAO!!!! :roflmao: ..............ahh brilliant, gentleman, was hoping I would be able to wake up this morning and proclaim my humble abode as..............THE HOME OF CHAMPIONS!!! :partydance:   :partydance: :pimp:

Jen takes this one in the battle of the under dogs! sneaking a category on the last day away from the man who knocked me out! and then I win BOTH of my title weeks as well!!!!

Man, I cannot BELIEVE I came through mine as comfortable as I did.............one of them was 5-4 but the 5 wins were by a big margin, and had LeBron for only one game, lost Batum early in the week, had Kawhi resting as well as issues with positional eligibility (this league was a little more restricted than ours, and being a 14 teamer meant the wire was tough).

Then the one where I didnt have Aldridge most of the week, where Wade didnt play a single game (same for Jen), Parsons played one (same for Jen too) and had Parker for only one game (multiple days where I played less games than the other guy)............I won 8-1  and again by quite a comfortable margin.

Not quite the triple championship season I enjoyed the other year but Jen taking this one, after constructing her team mostly based on the appeal of a guys name! not their hair cuts Chum. ..........then I think that brings it nearly on par.

Ohh and E-Man, the reason our playoffs ended this week is because typically, the leagues that have 2 week/week and a half playoff finals, are the ones that would have started this week, and stretch right to the end of the regular season. Thus bringing with them even more maddening situations where players are being shut down and sat...........I am sure youve played in such a league before and remember how god damned painful it was having to drop stars for shit bags because the good teams started limiting minutes and shutting guys down for the playoffs (was obviously happening already with Miami this week).

Overall, think we had a pretty good league here this year, not much in the way of chatter but all but 2 teams stayed active, which I think is a record for board leagues Ive seen, so many many thanks and hope to see you all next year for "The Year of the Nacho"! :D
