Just curious what you guys all think. With the Celtics now in a dogfight for the #1 seed with the Cavs, and Cleveland looking pretty vulnerable, will they regret not making a move for Butler or PG at the deadline? The addition of one of those guys might have made them favorites to come out of the East this year, and could have given them a puncher's chance at the Warriors considering how tough they play us already. As far as I know, they would have only had to dump salary and include the Brooklyn pick, though I could be wrong about that.

    Thoughts?

I think they did the right thing. Adding someone that's going to take lots of shots and change the dynamic of the team midseason is a huge risk. It's not adding a missing piece, but adding someone that will alter the core of their team.

Usually (and I say that because every situation is different) that's the kind of trades you have to make in the offseason, not at the deadline.

They were smart to wait. The Celtics window starts in the next year or two. The Cavs will win the East, I do not care about there current slump. There is no way any Eastern team Beats them, including the Celtics.

Who were the Bulls asking for aside from Jae Crowder? I remember one being Jaylen Brown, but the other was...?

Regardless, I can understand TMC's sentiments. Mid season, you can't alter your core, especially when you're potentially a top contender. Plus, gosh... they would've potentially gifted Chicago who's management has taken quite the nose dive.
