*I was actually typing this in the "Random NBA Thoughts" thread but whilst compiling and typing it all out, I realised that we all need to take a moment and realise how incredible this man has been recently - and honour him (and these milestones in NBA history) with his very own thread. *

So, first of all..... what he was doing before his facial fracture and the resulting SURGERY, which he missed ONE GAME for, was insane and since wearing the protective mask and head band from that........he is playing even BETTER!!!!

I think someone needs to initiate a human DNA test right now, as he has been IN-HUMAN for a suspiciously long period =

    Last 12 Games = 31.5 PPG, 9.8 RPG, 10.5 APG, 1.6 SPG, 10.3-11.8 FTPG, 1.2 3PG, 43.0 FG% (4.8 TPG but I think we excuse that).
    Last 6 Games = 36.8 PPG, 12.0 RPG, 11.0 APG, 2.3 SPG, 11.3-13.5 FTPG, 1.2 3PG, 41.7 FG% (5.5 TPG).
    Last 3 Games = 40.7 PPG, 11.4 RPG, 11.3 APG, 3.0 SPG, 13.0-16.0 FTPG, 1.7 3PG, 45.3 FG% (6.0 TPG).

Milestones a plenty in there (and for the season) as well =

1 - He has a 38.1 usage rate for the season, the record is Kobe's at 38.7 in his one man show year of 05-06.
2 - First player since Magic to have a 30/11/17/4 (Steals) game.
3 - 4 consecutive triple doubles, the first player to do since MJ had 7 consecutive in 89, Magic also did it in 87.
4 - In that span he averaged = 37.0/13.5/10.5 vs. MJ's 30.6/11.6/11.0 - although MJ was both more efficient and won more games.
5 - 1 of only 3 players in HISTORY to have 3 consecutive 40 point triple double games - the other 2 are MJ and Pistol Pete.
6 - Just the 2nd player EVER (other was the Big O) to have 200 points, 50 rebound and 50 assists over a 5 game span.
7 - His 49/16/10 game is the largest individual statistical output for a player in a single game, in the last 50 years - VC had 46/16/10 in 07, The Dream had 46/19/8 in 96.
8 - First player since MJ in 89 to have at least 20/5/10 in 7 straight games - MJ had 12 straight.
9 - 1 of 4 players EVER to have 4 straight games with at least 40/5/5 - others are Wilt, MJ and Elgin Baylor.
10 - Almost about to become only the 2nd player in HISTORY to average 30/8/10 for an entire month - the other is The Big O.

Im sure there are more, feel free to add them if you guys know or find any (or perhaps as this insanity carries on!)..........but again, I just thought we needed to mark the play of this man and try to get to get to grips with how very special a period of NBA history he has placed himself in during the last month.

The run he is on right now is simply spectacular.

From just a pure "spectator" standpoint (putting aside whether he shoots too much for a PG and whether his game helps them win or not) he is as fun to watch as there is in the league. So damn athletic and his tenacity in going to the rim is unlike anything I have seen from a PG.

I was watching a Thunder game the other day, he should have even more assists; his teammates have been missing wide open J's. Dude is playing out of his mind right now, his season averages blow all MVP candidates out of the water. A triple double with 49 points!

Tough to NOT appreciate the tear he's on. He's had numerous surgeries within the past two years and he hadn't lost a step. He might be one of the most genetically superior kin we've ever seen.

Well, he may be 4th right now, but if he continues this for the next month, never know.
