Yup, they FINALLY played a pretty clean game. The defense played great and had a great game plan.
Been hearing a lot lately about the Seahawks being really interested in Suh. It's not an easy guy to deal with, but Pete's chance would be as good as anyone's. And Suh's still extremely disruptive. Would be a great signing.
I dont buy it that he is a viable option. They have never been big spenders on big money Free Agents. If he would take less money or sign a 1 year deal then I could see it, but I see Suh going to the highest bidder which wont be Seattle.
What are your thoughts on the Seahawks record next year Bada. I suspect it will take a few years of a rebuild, but Wilson alone should be good enough for 6 or 7 wins.
Wilson alone will make them a contender for the playoffs. They're in a pretty tough division, tho, so next year will be a challenge.
Its wild. Basically the entire starting defense will be gone:
No Michael Bennett, Sheldon Richardson, Cliff Avril, Richard Sherman, Kam Chancellor, and now they are looking to move Earl Thomas. Feels like a Miami Marlins type sell-off. Then on offense no Jimmy Graham, Paul Richardson... they have no RB's and a terrible offensive line...although the line should perform better by getting rid of Tom Cable... that piece of SHIT!
Add that on top of a tough division and brutal conference, I am thinking 5 wins
Did you see this Bada? What do you think of it? Maybe this is why they need to overhaul the roster if Carrol is sticking around.
I think there is a hint of truth there but there is a lack of recognition on Sherman's side that there is accountability on the players side as well. While Pete's message and rah rah style may be getting stale to the long timers, there is also some feelings of entitlement and lack of focus and desire from the vets. That FIRE and SWAGGER has been missing the last year plus.... guys kind of feeling fat with their past accomplishments. If think Pete feels like going back to infusing the locker room full of guys that have something to prove and are hungry is what is needed there. And certainly his style and enthusiasm has much more impact to younger players. Basically feels like starting over... except this time with a good QB and the best MLB in football as starting points.
Lets hope that Wilson doesn't get killed trying to win games all by himself. I know he has done a lot of that the last 2 seasons, but with no defense they will need to score a lot of points to keep up.
Just beat the Niners!
That's not starting over, believe me. The Bucs start over every four years, with no QB and only one good DT. That's starting over. The Seahawks will have a walk in the park compared to most teams. Wilson is that good.
Probably is, they probably will have to start adding a few free agents next offseason, because with Wilson leading them to a fair number of wins, their draft position won't be great. The approach has to be different.
Worry about your own team beating the Niners!!
Anybody going out to Levi's to see their team play the Niners this year? I am definitely going to the Niners/Raiders, i want to go to Niners/Seahawks, as well as Niner/Broncos. If Frank Gore goes to Detroit, then that goes up to a must game for me.
No, I cannot step foot in that stadium, I would be too pissed off. The hatred runs that deep fellas. Even to see my team play, can't do it.
Why do you hate Levis?
It's not just Levi's, its the fans, and the whole thing. I can't go to Giants games at AT&T either. It's the East Bay SF rivalry that I have, you guys all should know this about me by now. I know you don't understand it, but it is what it is. I don't have anything personal against the fans, I just cannot be around them during the actual sporting event. Bada feels me on this one.
i guess.. well..i'll definitely be there for Raiders/Niners. Going with my brother, a big Raider fan.
Your brother is the man! Should be a good game!
Yup MadBallers... I feel ya. It is a feeling not shared the other way by SF fans which I think almost everyone on the board is other than us. I think AlwaysNext was the same as us but dont see him posting anymore unfortunately.
Yeah, happens a lot here in Europe as well, as rivalries are usually more... heated. I also wouldn't go to a rival's venue for game. Some of the other team fans will be great, but I've found most to be obnoxious, particularly if you're not rooting for their team.
It's all personal preference and there is no right or wrong way. Why surround yourself with strangers that will be verbally assaulting the team you're there rooting for? It doesn't matter whether you can conduct yourself in a mature enough manner or not. Why even put yourself in that position?
And of course, there is nothing like watching a sporting event with your best friends so that you can rag doll each other all game and still be awesome friends once the final whistle blows.
To each their own.
Im not really "take a RB in the 1st round" type of guy but I am stoked to get Penny who I think is the best RUNNER in the draft. Barkley is a more complete RB as he is a great receiver (Penny is a good receiver but not on Barkley's level) and Penny can't pass protect for crap but I do truly believe he is the better pure runner. Yes, I may be biased because I went to SDSU.
I had posted on my seahawks board that I was hoping we could trade down and pick up 2 second rounders to get a guard and Penny. So thought we might be able to get him in the 2nd round but it appears Patriots would have taken him instead of Michel. Also Cleveland wanted him bad at pick 33.
It does pain me a bit that they did not take Will Hernandez but Penny is going to be a hell of a player. No better guy in college football in getting yards after contact and yards after being hit in the backfield. Barkley goes down way to easy for my liking.
