And they run the ball a whole lot... if he were in a more passing-oriented system, his numbers would be higher and probably would get more attention for the MVP.

Brees is having the most effective season I've seen and Mahomes makes the most incredible throws regularly and has the stats to back it up. Any other year, Russ would be in the conversation, but those two are playing at a ridiculously high level right now...

possibly the worst matchup for met to watch and find a team to root for. I hope they both lose.

Must be nice...I have woken up to that feeling just one time in the last 16 years. That is very painful to type. It's becoming like the Warriors run from 1995-2014.

That is brutal. I did not realize it was THAT bad. 1 out of 14 years and 5 out of 27 years was really hard for me as a Hawk fan. But 12 of the last 14 years has been an amazing thing.

very impressed with the Seahawks season this year. Yea the Niners kicked your ass one game, but overall, i don't know if anybody expected them to be as good, especially that rebuilt defense.

Russ deserves a contender. Bada, tell them they have to put a contender roster around him. Seattle is not Tampa, great players (particularly a great QB) don't go there to waste their careers.

I dont think it is a roster problem but more of a approach/style issue. PC likes it to be a certain way... run the ball and play great defense. He is very conservative offensively and it drives me nuts. Right or wrong, that is not going to change and hard to argue with the results, but it is tough to watch and it is tough to watch a great QB with shackles on.

This whole Russell Wilson thing is making me sick. Just fucking pay the guy!!! They already are ruining the prime of his career with terrible offensive line play and unimaginative offensive schemes.

If there's a guy you shouldn't have to think twice (or lowball) when it comes to his contract, that's Russ.

    Congrats, Bada!

It's a lot of money, but well deserved. Russ is the reason the Seahawks are a contender year after year. Considering how hard it is to find a franchise QB (and this comes from a fan of a team that never had one) it's money well spent. Now it's all a matter of finding the right players around him, mainly via draft.

Yep, it is a lot of money and it makes building a team really tough. You are right, the draft will be key and Seahawks have not drafted well in the first couple of rounds. Thankfully their late picks and undrafted Free Agents have been good.

I wish QB's did not take so much of the cap, but it is what it is. In two years from now, there will be several QB's making more. While I hate the money, the alternative of having no QB is so much worse. I just wish they would actually use him more and get an innovative OC... but as long as Pete is there, they will be very conservative offensively. Would be fun to see what RW could do under a guy like Payton, McVay, or Reid.

Wow, huge deal. Seahawks trade Frank Clark to KC for KC's 1sts rounder, a swap of 3 round picks (Seahawks move up 8 spots) and KC's 2nd rounder next year.

So bummed to see Clark go. he is a BEAST!!!! but that is just too big of a haul for Hawks to pass up, considering he needs a new deal.

KC gave him one and made him the 3rd highest paid defensive player in the league. Love the guy but that is just too rich for my blood.
