Let me tell you something... it's worthless. Nobody will believe it's real with those two black stains where it matters most.

Seahawks signed OL Chester Pitts today. Pitts was a VERY good offensive lineman until he suffered his injury and had to have micro-fracture surgery. I have my doubts about his ability to fully return having witnessed what this surgery did to the great Walter Jones. But certainly worth the flier on him with his talent and his familarity with Gibbs.

Yeah, you read that too? Always felt the Seahawks were robbed that SB... or at least, there were a ton of BS calls. I was rooting for the Seahawks, just because I wanted the SB champ to be in the NFC West and I wanted to be like... "Yeah, we got the champs in our division. Time to go out and beat them, take the title away from them and crown us champions."

I understand coaches tell you to play through the calls... but how can you when the majority are BS? Good job Leavy.

it was the worst officiated SB of all time... as admitted by several league officials.

one call you can live with, two makes it harder, 3 and it is REALLY difficult, 4 is ATROCIOUS but usually is it leveled out between two teams, but when you have 6 TERRIBLE calls AND they ALL go against one team, really hard to overcome. I will not say the Seahawks WOULD have won without those calls (although I think they would have), but I will say it cost them ANY CHANCE at winning

I didn't think the Steelers played well enough to win it as well. Yes, it doesn't matter how you win... but when you have 6 HUGE calls go in your favor, it leaves an asterisk on your win.

I do not doubt the Steelers, but if the opposing team doesn't get the chance to come back in a fair and balanced way... then it's hard for me to say that they deservedly won the title. The refs handed them that game.

So Bada, explain to me what's going on up there in Seattle? Rumor is that the Seahawks are expected to cut or trade Housh?... meaning Mike Williams will be the new starter alongside Branch?

Just trying to figure this out so I don't walk into the game next Sunday going... "Wait, Mike Williams? THAT Mike Williams? And where's Housh?!"

I like Housh, but there's something about him that makes me feel like he was never comfortable up there in Seattle.

yeah, pretty crazy huh. As with any coach in their first year, it is the time to put their stamp on the team. This is all part of Carroll's "all in" approach. Lendale did not display that attitude so he got cut. Same thing is happening here. While TJ is not a BAD guy, he is a bit of a guy who spells team with an "I". That combined with he has lost a step and is displaying diminishing skills, I guess they felt they needed to do something.

Many are contemplating this is to create room for a Vincent Jackson trade. man, I sure hope not. A couple draft picks and $40+ million is what it will take for Jackson and I dont think he is nearly that good.

But yes, THAT Mike Williams will move into the starting role. Perhaps the biggest suprise to me is Mike Williams. He is in shape now and looks like the Mike Williams from USC... he really has looked fantastic.

The TJ cut, the trading last week on Josh Wilson, and some other moves CLEARLY tell me they dont expect to win much this year despite what they say. They are cleansing themselves of the players from the previous regime and are bringing in "their" players. Going to be a LONG season for the Hawks.

So Seattles two starting WR's are who? They will really need to run the ball well to beat the 49ers. One thing the niners handle well are big physical receivers that arent speedsters. I like Forsett a lot , in the limited time i've seen him play. He runs hard, with a purpose. It'll be a fun game to watch. I'm very interested to see the offense in action, i didn't get a great feel for the niners #1 offense because they didn't have a whole lot of success, and because they didn't play a lot of the big guns.

If the Pass rush is good against seattle, that is trouble for the seahawks. But if seattle can run, it'll counteract that a bit. Two nice surprises about the preseason on defense for the niners are Ricky Jean Francois and Navarro Bowman. Looks like we'll have some depth to go along with the overall talent. Can't' wait for week 1!

Mike Williams and Deion Branch. And from what I've heard, Forsett and Washington will be splitting carries... with Julius Jones getting in from time to time. But Forsett will be the main starter? Yeah? Since Washington will be returning kicks.

    Niners should dominate those receivers.

holy crap. I go away for the weekend and all hell breaks lose in seattle. They essentially turned over their entire roster 7 days before the season.

And then hall of fame OL coach Alex Gibbs retires a week before the season.

It is clear they dont intend on competing this year but are rather trying to bring in "their guys". Not sure we even finish ahead of the Rams now. This season has 3-13 or 4-12 written all over it!
