Russ has always been good at escaping pressure, though at the Niners peak with Harbaugh, the Smith brothers did ok against him. But with this line, it seems like there is such little opportunity to escape the pressure. It will be an interesting matchup. One important factor that is getting overshadowed by the pass rush, is that the run defense has been great. One of if not the only team that has not yet allowed a rushing touchdown.

Damn, both our tackles are injured...our defense and run game will have to be more on point vs rams.

    5-0!!!!!!

We just beat rams without a bunch of our offense starters! Thank god kittle played through a groin strain. I guess it was minor.

So it's just us and the Patriots.

Imagine a final of the master and his student.

Pass the torch old man! Lol

Niners are looking great. That D is legit... of course it took some Seahawks (Salah and Sherm) to make it happen. :D

Best defensive units on the league: Niners and Pats. Not surprising both teams are looking great.

Wow. I did not see 5-0 coming for this team. I knew the D line was going to be scary good but no way did I think they’d come out of the gate 5-0.

    Two concerns going forward
    - injuries
    - JimmyG’s struggle to get it in the end zone. Especially with the pass.

They have a layup game next week vs Washington. 6-0 Then the Panthers. Hope they stay healthy and JG expands his game.

And JimmyG beat the rams without a bunch of our starting receivers, fullback and tackles.

So, I can't really put all the mistakes on him. He's just trying to make do with what he has and doing enough to get the W. Can't complain really.

I'm happy for Sherm... although that whole Baker Mayfield thing he pulled was ridiculous.
