I get that stance (trying to help) if a guy has substance abuse issues or something of the like or perhaps even things got a bit heated with a female and slightly physical that you want to see how thing play out.. however IF he did what the police said he did, there should be ZERO tolerance. Beating a woman like that does not deserve "help" from an employer. The reports are BRUTAL. Even more severe than what Ray Rice did. He needs to go to prison if this is true. Again, maybe the organization knows more but it is a REALLY bad look. ESPECIALLY their lame ass statement yesterday that did not even have anyone's name on it(York, Lynch, etc). Just an anonymous team statement. SHAMEFUL!

I'm with Bada on this. There should be zero tolerance on this issue. If he can't prove the reports are false, he should be gone. And pay for it.

Don't really think prison helps at all, because recidivism is high in this kind of felonies, but that's for a different discussion...

I agree that what Foster did to his girlfriend is absolutely disgusting and he should get a hefty suspension and possible prison time. And the Niners who claim to have taken this team in a "new" direction should be ashamed for keeping him on the roster.

I just read this, and did not know it happened. But when Foster was 18 months old, his father shot his mother several times in the back. She was holding young Reuben in her arms at the time. The father went to prison only to escape and was on the run for 16 years before finally getting caught and going back to jail. This could help explain why Foster is so fucked up...he needs some serious counseling.

This of course does not give him a pass for beating the hell out of his girlfriend, but it does shed some light on his crazy life.

Man, that is really sad... I did not know that either, and yes I agree, it does not excuse it.

Fuck... why did the Niners have to take Pettis!!! Grr. Hate when my favorite college players go to my most hated team. Well Dante, it was a pleasure watching and rooting for you over these years. Now go fuck yourself. HAHA

Solves two issues at once. You root for guys you like and do not suffer watching Russell Wilson run for his life behind that line... :p

    R.I.P. Dwight Clark.

He was one of the heroes of the 49ers Championship Dynasty. "The Catch" will never be forgotten.

I remember the catch very well. I was 10 years old, and we watched the game at my Grandparents house. At the time I was celebrating with my family, as this was before the Raiders moved to LA...I was young and my hatred for everything 49ers had not reached the surface.

Dwight was a loved by everyone who knew him. He was very brave going through a terminal disease. He will be missed!
