Crazy collection, Quaz. Just curious if you have any active non-Warriors jerseys that you’re looking to buy or potentially looking to buy?

I hope we see ESPN Films do a long documentary on the Warriors highlighting everything this past decade with Mark Jackson to 73 wins to KD’s arrival and departure. I’m sure we will one day. And I say this because of course, the “Will KD stay” subject came up again, but with Draymond the one to give an updated perspective on it:

haha yup, takes up an entire closet.

Was kind of confronting getting them all out and realising they wouldn't fit into my lounge room

Klay partnered with Kaiser Permanente (local hospital chain for those not familiar) to produce some long form content around his injury and rehab. It’s going to air May 6th. I don’t know the details of where it’ll stream, but I imagine it’ll be somewhere online like YouTube or FaceBook.

    Here’s the trailer for context.

And this is from two months ago:

Steam is picking up for the NBA to return mid-July!

Teams will use part of June as a “training camp.” They’ll all get to 70 regular season games played (which means 5 more Warriors games) that will likely be in the Walt Disney World “bubble.” And then playoffs after. No word on what that format will look like, but I’d assume it’ll still be Best of 7.

So yeah, definitely looks more and more likely the NBA tips off the 2020-21 season on Christmas Day like many were saying; pushing the NBA schedule to be December to August. The teams want fans in the stands, and their hope of prolonging the beginning of next season helps that cause. Will it happen? Who knows? But it’s something that sounds more optimistic than fans in September/October.

Anyways, looking forward to whatever crazy lineups Kerr will run out there those final 5 games. And prayers NO ONE gets hurt.

I love the NBA starting in Xmax, but I'd hate the league ending in August. I guess it can work, if it's a one time deal, but ending in the middle of the summer is a bad idea, imho.

I agree, I'm not a huge fan of basketball in the summertime... let alone it going late into summer. Would be interesting if that's the case next year, how Team USA would look going into the Summer Olympics.

Anyways, talks of resuming are heating up more. Rumors are a June 21st is when “training camp” starts with a July 15th start date. The regular starters probably won’t get much run, so we’ll see heavy minutes from these guys:

    Paschall
    Chriss
    Poole
    Lee
    Bowman
    Mulder
    Smailagic
    Randle
    Bender
    Toscano-Anderson

Anthony Slater said it’ll be a “replacement summer league.” So a lot of these guys will be auditioning. There’s 8 spots after the big contract guys, probably a few less when you include the draft and veteran FAs they’ll likely want to bring in.

Talks are shifting to just go straight to playoffs meaning the Warriors season would be officially over. Sucks for teams that were “on the bubble” like Portland & NOLA in that scenario. The seeding would eliminate conferences and be sorted by record. Not sure whether they re-seed or if it’s college style when you advance. But this is what the first round would look like:

    1) Bucks vs 16) Magic
    2) Lakers vs 15) Nets
    3) Raptors vs 14) Grizzlies
    4) Clippers vs 13) Mavericks
    5) Celtics vs 12) 76ers
    6) Nuggets vs 11) Pacers
    7) Jazz vs 10) Rockets
    8) Heat vs 9) Thunder

I hope it’s college style because Bucks/Clippers and Lakers/Celtics as the Final 4 sounds a lot of fun.

I think they shouldn't move straight to the playoffs. It's just not fair to some teams. No need to go the full 82 games, tho, but a few games could change it all for certain teams. And I never liked the idea of getting rid of conferences.

I think they should play 5 games to finish the regular season and get the players in "game" shape before the playoffs. This would also give the bubble teams a fighting chance.

Lillard came out and said that he won’t play if they’re only doing a few more games. Portland’s only 3 games out. He wants a “fair shot” or no shot from his perspective. I mean, I get it. Why cram everyone into this “bubble” and your team suddenly has their playoff clinching odds cut down by two-thirds?

There’s just no way the NBA can finish the season in full and do playoffs before September. That would take probably 10 weeks to complete. I think there needs to be games before playoffs start, but how do you make that happen? Do you extend the playoff field and do play ins for the final seeds?

I think they need to play 8-10 games and give everybody a fair shot. I don't think they need to go the full schedule, but less than that hurts teams' chances too much.
