I've watched most games this season. The losing is getting old, but it's actually been an exciting season for me to watch.
Maybe not as much "fun" as I'd like but still interesting.

Whats more. Considering what he's had to work with, Kerr has done a nice job of coaching and keeping these guys up for games and competitive.

That being said, someone needs to teach Paschall how to shoot a set shot with a quick release. That jumper with the hang time in the air is going to cost him some buckets...
not to mention getting swatted often.

The city of SF just banned all events of more than 1000 people for a minimum of 2 weeks. I would assume the Warriors would play in an empty arena. Lacob said they make an average of $3.6 Million per game.

It's the right thing to do. We're in the middle of a huge outbreak in Spain, and probably will reach Italy's numbers in a couple of weeks, because there were no restrictive measures in place in due time. The government just kept saying that it was "a kind of flu". Now we're having hospitals overwhelmed with serious cases and without enough places in ICU. It's not a f*cking flu. It's serious. It's scary. And the sooner you start taking measures, the better the chance to stop contagion. It's a f*cking pandemic, for god's sake. And people keep doing crazy things like going to parties, concerts and all kind of crazy shit where the disease has a field day and contagion is guaranteed.

The objective is to keep hospitals operative so they can take care of sick people. If no restrictive measures to our socializing habits are taken, we're going to be in a clusterfuck where many, many lives will be lost. That's why Italy's numbers are so crazy.

I don't know if I'm gonna post much these days, I know I'm not gonna watch games. I don't have the time, nor the will, to do that (and maybe I should, but I just can't at this point). And I live in an area where it's not a massive outbreak, not yet at least (although we double the number of cases in the Bay Area, atm).

Please, guys, be careful out there. Take care of yourselves and your loved ones following all the hygienic security measures. Try to limit your exposure to any kind of gatherings, keeping the required security distance. It's on us to stop the outbreak. Maybe the San Francisco and California government bodies will act quickly and adopt the necessary containment measures. Please, do follow them strictly. You may not feel more than a mild cold, but somebody close to you might die because of it.

You may not think it's that serious, but Italy closes each day with a huge number of deaths, 200 more today. It's not a f*cking joke.

Take care, guys. And be careful, please.

I will have to tune in at least for a bit tomorrow night. I have to see/hear what it is like to play in an empty 20,000 seat arena...gonna be so strange!

Well, the NBA season has been suspended. Rudy Gobert tested positive and, well, I think it's the right course of action. It's awful, but it's necessary.

There's no set date for resuming the season, if it ever does. But it doesn't look like it's going to happen. China implemented extremely strict measures that worked really well to control the disease in Wuhan, but it's hard to see a democracy establishing that kind of control over its citizens. There's also a wide gap in projections to control the outbreak, but most western estimates go from 2 months to 5. It's hard to envision the NBA coming back this year under those terms, although one of the scenarios is testing every single player and team member and, without positives, play in empty arenas, even moving teams from big risk locations to smaller, safer towns.

But I just don't see it. I think the best, safest course of action is to suspend the season and deal with everything once the outbreak is under control, whenever it might be.

What a f*cking year 2020 is turning out to be...

I don’t blame the NBA’s hesitant response. They were relying on leadership to guide them and before they knew it, it was too late. This doesn’t feel like a 2 month thing. I certainly hope I’m wrong, and containment develops as fast as it did in China, South Korea and Japan. My confidence level in our government to replicate those countries is just a bit challenged, to say the least. Hospitals are working at like 500% more than they’re capable. This country and its medical infrastructure were not ready for an immediate response. I can rant on about this, so I’ll stop.

I pray you all and your loved ones stay healthy and safe and that this will temper down faster than we’ve been led on about it.
