Well my lack of scoring concern was at least partially addressed just hours after I posted this. Spellman, Burks, and Robinson give us some shooters off the bench. Certainly more than last year's bench. Our defense though... ouch!

Man, we are pretty damn YOUNG now. I like it!

Im excited to kind restart this thing. We go into the season not knowing what to expect on the floor. Of course i would prefer to have the most dominant team in the league, but since that cant happen, i do like the team that is being put together and some of the flexibility it gives the Warriors in the next couple of years

No doubt, this team is gonna get lit up on D, so we will need a lot of offense and at least improved defensive effort as the season goes on. It will be ugly at first

In the paint I think we got better defensively. As much as I liked Boogie he isn't the defender Willie is... I'm just going to him as Willie as Cauly-Stein is a pain to type all the time... plus Willie Nelson is my favorite country singer... anyway...

Once Klay gets back, assuming he can return to his old form, I see us as being better defensively overall.

Dray, Looney, and WCS makes for a pretty good front line defense. I agree.

However until Klay comes back, I can't think of a worse collection of backcourt and perimeter defenders.

We’ll miss Igoudala and Durant on defense and Klay until March.
I don’t know enough about the rest of the roster to say.

That's the problem. I'd be a lot more optimistic about the next season if Klay were available, but he's most likely out til the all star game, and our backcourt is going to suck big time defensively.

Also, we're going to miss Iggy and KD, and both were important guys of our defense. The defensive frontcourt looks good, but the league has moved away from that kind of frontcourt loaded teams. So, defensively, I'm concerned about what this roster can do.

Agreed, our perimeter defense doesn't look good until Klay gets back, although we have so many new players now that it wouldn't shock me if one of them turned out to be a pretty good defender.

I watched an interview with Russell. He sounds pretty sharp, and motivated to learn from being on the Warriors. I think we will see better defense out of him then we have seen in the past.

Who? Because Robinson and have proved that they are not good defenders.

I guess Evans could take that next step and become a valuable defender, he's the only one I see with some potential to develop as a capable defender on our backcourt. It's just that his offense is... well, rough. But I don't expect anybody else becoming what they've never been in their NBA careers.

I like Russell. He was a leader for Brooklyn, and it wasn't always easy there, because he started the season being benched to close the games and having to watch Dinwiddie close games for the Nets. And he behaved admirably as a great teammate that waited for his chance and just use that chance to learn what he shouldn't do to keep playing.

That shows a lot of character. And he improved during the season and turned into an all star on talent and a lot of hard work.

So I like him a lot. It's a bad fit for our system, and he's gonna have to adapt and the team is going to have to play a bit for his skills. But he's a very, very good basketball player.

But he's not a good defender. And it doesn't look like he's ever gonna be one. He's just not wired like that, imho.

As expected, Shaun Livingston has been cut. He was a really good backup for us and his career had a renaissance as a Warrior, winning three rings in his tenure. Came with low expectations and leaves as an important role player and a leader. Best of luck, as he wants to keep playing a couple more years.

Will miss Shaun. His presence was infectious. He gave a great run. To think, this guy’s career was suppose to be over years ago after the freak leg injury. Cheers to Sdot.

Side note; there’s a lot of praise for Curry amongst the younger crowd. D-Lo idolized Curry. Cauley-Stein dreamt of playing with Curry. Poole has cited Curry as one player he’s meld his game around. The older cats despise the man. But these younger guys understand what he does for their games. The Warriors will never be done from being able to attract talent as long as Curry dons the uniform.

Stupidity as well, it seems... everybody loved MJ when he was the best player in the league, but a total asshole (KG would have been a good example of that, too), and now vets can't stand Steph. Wtf??

Some vets... it’s not fair to lump them all in that category. Some very jealous vets are mad that a little guy like Curry is that good and shattering records.

CP 3 sucks and not one team would willingly take on that rip off of a contract!
