It can get interesting if Lacob offers him a max extension for 4 or 5 years... would he reject it at this point, not knowing how great he's going to be when he comes back? We've got some experience with that already, as Curry was playing with a cheap deal for years due to the constant ankle injuries that he went through during his rookie deal. Might be time to test our luck with a long term deal for KD... As long as we have KD, Steph, Klay and Dray under contract, this team is not only a contender, but the team to beat. Even if KD comes back at 80% of the player he was, he still will be a top player in the league. He might not want to sign that, but it's worth trying, imho.
