On offense yea. The difference is, this team plays defense when needed. I would say so far this year, for 3 quarters, they are very much like a Nellie team, just with better talent. The 4th quarter is a different story.

I agree but only to a point. Certainly the game has changed to more what Nellie did... undersized front court to exploit quickness mismatches, fast pace, shoot lots of 3's. But that is it. We pass the ball way more and have much more player movement than Nellie's system and dont get me started on defense. He did not care about defense... the Warriors offense is in a lot of way fueled by our defense. Nellie certainly was an outside the box thinker and was an innovator but his lack of understanding the importance of defense and rebounding was his downfall.

I think a lot of what were seeing has its roots in Nellie’s vision but were seeing a much improved version due to what others have stated above. Most notably, ball movement, off the ball motion, and defense.

The day Nellie traded Chris Weber, was when my hatred for him began. I am still not over that.

For me, it began earlier, when they traded Mitch Richmond... You don't break up Run TMC! The whole reason I became a fan of this team....

The first mistake with Weber was signing him with a player option after one year! Which he opted out of.
He heard about Nellie and kept his options open just in case. Sure enough, Nelson fucked with his ego and he bolted. Definitely the beginning of the a huge downward spiral for the Dubs.

Excellent point Money! That was a terrible move by Nellie. Breaking up Run TMC for Billy Owens...that guy sucked and had a bad attitude.

To be clear, Hardaway was referring exclusively to the offensive play style when he brought up Nellie. Also, he wasn't comparing the skill of his Warriors to the current Warriors. He was really just speaking on offensive playstyle.

Do you guys not watch the sports shows? My current favorite is the Skip and Shannon Sharpe show. Skip Bayless is... odd? He does bring up good arguments now and then. The star of the show is show is Shannon Sharpe. That guy is hilarious. I could listen to him talk sports all day, although he could stand to stop cradling LeBron's pouch all the time.

I listen to mostly podcasts. Bill Simmons, Zach Lowe, several podcasts from The Ringer, Howard Beck, a great NBA podcast called "The Full Court Press"...

I listen to the local sports talk mainly.. 95.7 the game morning show is currently my favorite.

I will tune in to some Undisputed and some national shows on SXM radio during playoff times. I do like to get the national perspective. I am also entertained by Skip and Shannon's interactions, and i'm also entertained by Stephen A and Nick Wright. Mainly, guys that you can't stand, but you love to hear them rant.. i don't know what it is.

Stephen A. is a guy I can't stand and that I don't love to hear rant... If there's someone I don't wanna hear ever, that's him.

I'm the same but depends on who... sometimes listening to those guys in morning, I just get enough and blurt out, "these guys are idiots" and change the station..
Same with Damon Bruce.. some days he's funny and I'm entertained, but most days he just sounds like the drunken idiot at the bar who won't shut his face for two seconds to let you talk...
I mean, that's his job... to blather on.

Damon gets a little condescending at times.. i just like the morning show, even when i don't agree with some of the BS. Lorenzo Neal is gold.

I listen to 95.7 the game mostly, I don't have the time or interest to watch any particular sports guy's on TV. Once in a while I will catch Sports Center on ESPN. Most of my info is online, I really enjoy the Athletic.

As for 95.7 the game...my favorite show is Greg papa. I do like Damon Bruce as well. I do not like the morning show at all...seems like every time I listen, I end up turning it off in disgust. IMO Lorenzo Neal is an absolute hack. The guy knows nothing about Sports (other than the NFL) and doesn't seem prepared for his job.

It is kinda funny when they thrash on Lo Neal, and he is a good sport about it.

The “prison bet” stuff. And talk about Dibley vs Step. Dibley at the freethrow. Steph at mid court gets ridiculous

That's their "appeal" and it is and can be funny, but sometimes so manufactured its annoying. It is funny how Dibley is just constantly at Lo...
with "horotious" and "coach" etc.. he's a pesky scratchy throat flea that one.. lol

Its so funny watching the media hang on every thing the Warriors do. Draymond and KD was the big topic today.. man, teams are gonna have some blowups. Hard to see it creating a big issue considering the team looked like it had done their normal, don't show up in LA routine. Some of the turnovers were just baffling. Just guys mishandling easy passes.. they looked out of it. It was a great effort to come back, but should have never got to that point.
