Zaza Pachulia deserves some love. He’s such an underrated screener. His picks are so tough that once you’re caught, the only thing you’re praying for at that point is that somehow Curry or Klay misses.

He has been contributing a ton with solid picks, hustle plays, defensive boards, and the occasional post move or put back.
He's got a much more dependable shot and FT shot than Bogut did, but is not as high an IQ player as Bogut. He's actually a better fit, imho.
I sometimes hold it against him that he can barely jump so I might not give him as much credit as he deserves.

Wonder if there's a way we could trade for Lou Williams. Not like we need him right now, but he'd be perfect in case Steph has another injury. We just don't have scorers out of our top 3.

Just me thinking out loud. Some of our stronger competition have 2 guards coming off the bench that could start on a lot of NBA teams.
Outside of Curry, Klay, and KD, and Draymond now I guess, do we have anyone who has the potential to light it up so to speak and have a 20-30pt game?
I think McCaw might have had a 20 pt game last month. But given the minutes available, its not always possible. DWest can give you 10-15 on a good night.
I guess I'd like to see Nick Young, Sean Livingston or Casspi have a break out game, just to show that if we needed it, its there.
Liv seems to be trying to be a little bit more of an explosive presence off the bench but I'm not sure that's fully his game.
It'd be great if it came from a reserve guard. Probably McCaw or Young. thoughts?

Young is more capable i think. He seems to have settle into the offense more, and he doesn't just jack the ball up as soon as he touches it. But he is the more explosive scorer. I do like what i have seen from McCaw recently, specifically, his ability to get to the rim. He takes these angles where his defender gets caught under the rim and he has a fairly uncontested layup. His shot is not there, but his overall scoring ability is solid.

I don't think we will see a consistent scorer off the bench like other teams, just because we are so deep. And also, unlike other teams, we have 3 starters that can go off for 30+ any given game.

Nick Young is the only guy that could, potentially, do that. Problem is, don't expect any consistency from him, hence why he isn't starting somewhere else.

The Warriors are planning to use a preseason game vs the Kings next season to play at Key Arena. Fitting since KD started his career there.

The Dubs are also planning to use their DC trip to spend some time doing a private camp for the youth around the area since you know, they were uninvited at a big white house over there. Anyways, no media will be allowed. Just players, coaches and the kids.

Everyone hates Zaza. Except everyone on connected to this franchise in a positive tone, of course. From his entire career to Kawhi to Westbrook now... So what’s say you guys? Is he intentionally dirty or just uncoordinated? Unlucky? Wrong place, wrong time? Etc?

Zaza definitely uses his bulk to assert his will, some of it legal. He definitely pushes people and arm locks people often enough to where I can see a player getting pissed off at him. He's also hella clumsy and not very athletic. I don't think he purposefully under cut Kwahi, and I don't think he purposefully tried to land on Russ. You can see Nick Young's foot clip right behind Pachulia's knee, can easily make you buckle and fall.. seemed like he fell too far but again, I think he's just not that athletic and very clumsy. He injured his own player last year... I think Russ was done playing for the night and needed an excuse to sit....

Considering Russ was the alleged victim, it's pretty easy to take Zaza's side. Zaza could have hit him with an axe and I'd still take his side...

I was watching replays of the Zaza/Westbrook incident. Several of the sports talking heads are practically calling for Zaza's head.

Anyway, if you watch the towards the basket angle you can see Westbrook's foot hooks Zaza right behind Zaza's knee. It pulls Zaza's leg forward while he has forward momentum. Nobody has mentioned this, but it looks obvious to me.

On top of that, Westbrook is falling on Young's leg, that has hooked Zaza just behind the knee (easily making it buckle).
Westbrook's momentum as he falls on Young's leg is causing a more abrupt/stronger pull on Zaza's leg.... If he tried to brace himself, Young could have a broken leg.

Also, nobody mentions WB pushing Young in the back before Young gets the rebound. No one mentions WB getting off the bench later to push Young after he hits a 3 and celebrates in front of the Thunder bench either. Leg didn't hurt then did it...

I think the idea of a fan or anyone with a sports opinion that throws death threats at a player or calls for their career to be ended immediately is pretty ridiculous. Whether or not an incident is accidental or purposeful, NO ONE deserves that treatment. Zaza and his family receive death threats over this stuff.

Goes with the territory. And I'm not defending it, just saying it happens. And it happens a lot with people in OKC. Look what happened when KD left...

#1 definitely is out of the question now. I don't see Houston slowing down. I don't see the consistent fire either.. but I would assume the playoffs would bring that out of them.

We mainly need to stay healthy. This is not a team that can overcome an injury to Steph, KD or Dray. I guess we could survive without Klay... not that we wouldn't miss him, but the big three mean too much for this team right now.

If we're healthy, we can beat anybody, including Houston. That competitive streak will be back in the playoffs in that case.

i think we CAN survive, but the chances go down quite a bit. I think we could have beaten the blazers and wolves with a full bench. Steph's injury obviously hurt the most, but they could have won those games without him.

But i'm also hoping for health in the postseason, and i'm also hoping that Kerr extends the starters minutes a bit more. I don't want to see 4 or 5 min stretches with none of them on the floor.

Yep. We've got a dominant starting five. No real reason to rest them all at the same time. Particularly with a guy like Andre coming from the bench.

I don't know... this seems like the perfect time to rest the starters as much as possible. They all seem to play better coming off of a long rest, and it is the rest of the team that will benefit from more minutes on the court.
