Greg Papa was saying that McCaw was a "San Antonio Spur" style player. As a very nice compliment to him. Just meaning he plays smart team defense, can score when needed and is very unselfish. He probably gets signed to a three year $18+ million bucks next season, and maybe even by Papavich

Not many teams are going to have a ton of cap room next year, as the cap projection isn't going to be as much as previously expected. That helps. Also, lots of guys are on their last year of their deals with us, and maybe KD opts out in order to re-sign again. That would give us enough cap to bring back McCaw and Zaza. There's also the issue of Klay's next extension, of course, and that's what really complicates things.

Makes you wonder if bringing back Iggy and/or Livingston at that prize was a good idea...

Its early, but as of right now, it is clear we are so much better when Bell plays the 5, then when McGee plays.

McGee is more fun than effective at this point...

Bell is more disciplined as a defender. McGee will get some big blocks but will also get out of position way more often. Still fun to watch Javale, but may not be useful.

McGee is SO BAD defensively. Hard to watch. He is loads of fun on the offensive side however.

Hey @bada , just wondering your impressions of Looney so far... For a long time i was looking for any good in him (mainly, he gets into good position, has some good fundamentals, but always lacked skill and athleticism). As of last year I stopped putting a positive spin on him and just accepted that he was not going to be a serviceable NBA player. After dropping the weight this year, he looks like he can contribute.

I am pretty sure Bada still hates Looney, even though he has improved, worked hard and lost weight.

@Rob, I certainly am impressed with his improvement, but skeptical about how long he can keep it up. Also still have injury concerns with him. He just looks like his body is pained by movement... just awkward. The key for him in my eyes is his team defense, awareness and rotations. His defensive rotations have been so bad in the past that he kills us every time he is in the game. While he has still made some huge "David Lee type" rotation blunders this year, he has improved. He is not killing us now and actually at times providing a plus effect on the team.

So I guess I am cautiously optimistic about The Retarded Vampire (my wife and kids nickname for him... dont ask)

Actually, the way he is moving on the court this year, I hardly recognized him. I double checked “who is that guy?” at least 2-3 times because he looks so much lighter on his feet

That is an interesting name for him, but i can kinda see it. I think he has a good basketball IQ that his body could never match athletically. He is more serviceable now. Bad big men can make good money in this league, so i would suspect that this is it for him. If the Warriors could keep him for a cheap contract, he'd be a nice 10th man or so.

Today is the 20th anniversary of Sprewell choking coach Carlisimo. My my, what a long way the Warriors have come since those days.

There should be no rush to bring him back. It's scary to remember his first years in the league...

As much as this sucks, this will be great for the rest of the team. McCaw needs more run! So does Bell! and motherfucking LOONEY! (forgive me Bada for I have sinned)

Also, everyone needs to know what it feels like when Steph (sloppy or not) is not bailing them out of poorly played games with his sweet ass shooting....

Time to step up. Figure out Kerr's system. And run it.... Stop fucking around. Stop yelling at the refs. and work it out....

they posed the question on 95.7 this morning, whether Steph should play Christmas day if he is 80% or so. Most people called in and said to let him rest, the reasoning being that 1 game is not what the season is about. In addition to that, the Warriors have played the Cavs so many times, to me, the match up is not as intriguing to me.

Curry should come back when he’s healthy. No sooner. No later

Agreed, 100% healthy. Maybe 4 weeks.
