Why? Because if you're home, you control your environment. If you're in the Orlando bubble, there's a ton of people around you. And there will be tests and all, but certainly a lot more chances for contagion, simply because there will be more people around you.

So, basically, if you're a moron that ignores all safety measures, you're going to be safer in the bubble. But if not, it's a pretty stupid thing to say, imho.

All eyes on James Harden sneaking off to a strip club. It’d be hilarious if the “anonymous tip” came from Chris Paul.

I disagree...these young guys are having big pool parties and sharing doobies at home. They will not be doing that in the bubble (at least the pool parties).

Warriors could not have picked a better year for a reload...

Imagine having to go through all this nonsense during your 6th trip to the Finals.
Rest up fellas, reload, and remind everyone why you are the greatest team to come along in years.

Let’s be real... a lot of these guys are not going to last 2-3 months without company. When they get hit up on their burner flip phones and their rational judgment gets compromised because their other brain starts doing the thinking, the only “bubble” they’ll be in is the hot tub that’s restricted to their luxury suites.

Doobies will be smuggled in courtesy of Nellie Kush, Inc.

Dinwiddie is out for the Nets after testing positive. DeAndre Jordan already was out for the very same reason. Beal is out for the Wizards with a shoulder injury. And people are wondering wtf are the Wizards doing in Orlando...

And so begins the season that should never have re-started.

But because they chose to resume, let’s just say it (as if it hasn’t been repeated by others)... they should’ve never brought 22 teams. It should’ve been the 16 that were in. The tune up games could’ve been against the opposite conference and then they go right into playoffs seeded and matched up like any other year.

I get that they wanted to make up for some of the money lost via the regular season, but it just didn’t make sense. And the de-commitments from players on the teams that aren’t that close to the 8th seed further validates that. All they had to say was... we want to give Zion Williamson a fair chance at the 8th seed because that’s what it feels like to be honest lol

Yeah, basically, they're hoping the Pels can sneak into that last playoff spot in order to see Zion killing it in meaningful games.

Taurean Prince also tests positive and is out, btw. So the Nets head into the bubble with six players out.

And now Adam Silver is worried that positives may "pop the bubble". Who woulda guessed? And I believe he's been under a lot of pressure to get this thing going. I've got the feeling he's not ok with the bubble, not even close...

Glen Taylor is selling the TWolves. KG has expressed serious interest over the years to acquire a minority percentage of it and now has an opportunity to get majority. Will be interesting to see how it plays out and I’m sure the Dubs are paying some attention to it since they still have that 1st round pick owed to them for next year or 2022.

Gotta say this one last time as MVP voting is about to start... LeBron had a great regular season, but he should not win MVP over Giannis this year. Everyone said Curry and KD could not win a MVP playing together, so why is LeBron exempt from Anthony Davis being his teammate and taking away votes?

I know, it’s because Klutch Sports has guys in the media. But I stand firm on it. Giannis deserves back-to-back MVPs.

But hey, if the media and missed Finals opportunity pushes him to the bay, I wouldn’t be mad

It shouldn't be a conversation... this year, it's Giannis and then everybody else.

I'm not even sure LeBron is the MVP of the Lakers (where would they be without AD?), so go figure...

Seattle unveiled their hockey team name and logo today... the Seattle Kraken. Looked very cool. The former Key Arena is now Climate Pledge Arena (Amazon bought the naming rights). And they are scheduled to square off next year. The renovation renderings look great... a below ground arena! Since they wanted to keep the roof.

Anyways, I only share because it makes me dream of the day the SuperSonics return. Hopefully, the NBA will be airing on NBC by then so we can hear Roundball Rock again (that’s more wishful).

I'd love the Sonics to come back at some point. They were my second team after the Dubs in the 90's, probably would have been a Sonics fan if I had started watching ball a bit later. I also like Miami since the Mourning & Hardaway days, but that's it. Those are my teams.

And, back to topic, I think the Sonics will come back in due time. I don't know when, because the league isn't exactly thinking about expansion right now, and the only team for sale (the Twolves) will include clauses in the deal in order to keep it Minny. But the NBA has the Seattle market locked in for a team, via expansion at some time or moving some team that cannot stay where they are.

But the Seattle Kraken... eh.... no. Sounds wrong. Sounds like a family from Game of Thrones got an NHL team. And, to make things worse, the logo looks more like an eel than a kraken. I think they failed miserably (although the idea of looking at some sea connection is perfect for a town like Seattle, with the Seahawks and Mariners already in town... just not this).

I’d imagine it’d have to be expansion, although that would imbalance the league. Memphis is the only franchise I could see being stolen, er relocated. But I’d hate to see them leave the grind house and can’t see it happening.

So the Knicks are hiring Tom Thibodeau as their next HC. 5 years and a ton of money, and I'm not sure he's the right coach for the Knicks roster at this moment. That's a team without much talent, and I don't know if adding Tom to that locker-room is not a ticking bomb...

It might work, but I don't know if Tom is right for a team that's still looking for an identity and to add a cornerstone to their roster, because so far, they have a few good young players, but not a franchise one yet.

Weird choice, imho. But very fitting with the Knicks history.

They were making some nice moves on the executive staff. So the jury will be out on Thibs and they really need to figure out this roster out. They have some quality young guys; maybe not future stars, but they have value. Barrett struggled in the 2nd half. And they need some solid, respected vets to mesh with the youth. So this 5 year deal serves them right and makes sense. No one was going to take that job without they years and financial security. The Knicks return to relevance hinges on the right moves in that time frame.
