This was an inevitable thread to be made after that ending. Hopefully, I wasn't the only one here that caught it. Who saw it? If you have; thoughts?

I've only seen the ending once since it happened so I can't fully figure out who to blame for that ending. But at the moment, I'm looking at the referee Joe Cortez for it.

I have only heard about it... however, in the beginning of every fight, they are instructed to protect themselves at all times. Maybe Mayweather is a huge douche, but I'm not sure it falls on the ref. Then again i didn't see it. I refuse to watch a Mayweather fight unless he fights pacquiao. He's the most boring fighter i've seen in a long long time.

Now that i have seen it, it was a cheap shot , however Ortiz is also at fault imo. He headbutts him on purpose , then does a little apology as he goes back to his corned. He hugged and even kissed mayweather, and then once they are to resume, he goes to hug and touch gloves again. That was a little overboard. Floyd didnt need to cheap shot him but gimme a break.

Yeah, I reviewed it a couple more times. Ortiz was apologizing, hugging, kissing... it was like, dude, are you gonna fight or what? And he kept obnoxiously smiling throughout the fight and post fight. It was so... odd.

There were a lot of odd things about that fight, overall.

I personally didn't see anything wrong with what Mayweather did?

Dude comes walking towards me with his gloves down, AFTER he's just hit me with a diving head but, I'd have done the same

The sucker punch was legal, it's just the fact that he did it makes it wrong. He holds himself to a higher degree than anyone in the boxing and athletic world as a whole (MMA, football, basketball, etc...) and he's a champion. When you have that huge of an ego and are champion, you're really going to go out and win a fight by a 4th round sucker punch?

Yes, Ortiz has his faults with the apologizing and keeping his hands down, but still. You're the champ. You say you're the best boxer ever and best athlete ever and that's how you end it? It was just... eh, whatever.
