Yeah, well most people had Wisconsin and K State...4 and 5 seed gone. Fortunately I didn't have either of them in the sweet 16.

Well, UCLA blew up my bracket tonight. I had them in the final four.

I had no faith in them. And tonight justified what we've seen all season from that team. Howland's done.

I've followed UCLA a little bit, just to follow Muhammad, and Howland has looked clueless more often than not. I mean, he always seemed to pick the worst possible time for a rotation. Whenever Muhammad got into a rythm, he went straight to the bench, time after time.

Still think Muhammad can become a great NBA player in the right situation, even tho he hasn't helped himself much with his 6-18, 0-6 3pts game...

I'm going to make everyone feel good about their brackets right now...

I picked New Mexico to win the National Championship... true story.

    Haha... :D

Thanks, Chum. I'm still dead last in the standings, but that was a good one.

I chose my bracket without any knowledge whatsoever. Mostly the strategy went by rank and the school's basketball history. But because I know most people's brackets go horribly off for even the most informed person, I decided to have a little fun with it. I became a complete homer and chose StLouis vs Marquette w Marquette winning the national championship. LOL
Both of those teams will be lucky to make it past the second round.

Got 11 correct in the first round, but from here on out I expect my bracket to get destroyed

I feel the same, as well. A lot of these players' potential isn't maximized because of the systems college coaches run. Shabazz is a perfect example. I still think he'll ball out in the NBA.

Not a good pick, but Chum...your Ducks are in the sweet 16, that makes up for it.

I have not had a chance to watch much of the tourney so far. But I caught the second half of the Ohio St/Iowa St game. That guard Craft for OSU just calmy nailed that 3 point game winner at the end...all net, just beautiful. Plus I have them in the final four.

Yeah, I'm super excited. Eugene is buzzing today. We haven't been very good in Men's basketball for a long time now, so the Sweet 16 is bigtime for us.

I wish Cal could have made it...oh well. I actually had Syracuse beating them in the round of 32, though, so that worked out for me.

Ohio State scared the hell out of me today. I had them upsetting Indiana in the national championship, not feeling so great about that pick right now.

Fuckn' Indiana got their buts kicked. They were never able to figure out how to break Syrascuse' zone. They were my pick to win it all so I am most likely done. I need to hope a team nobody picked wins.

Marquette still alive!!! I hope they kick Syracuse ass, but it's going to be tough...
Everything will have to be clicking for them, and Syracuse will have to be a little off..

If Kansas and Marquette make it through the next round, I will have done "ok" at least two teams I picked to make it to the final four will have made it.

Who had Wichita State or Florida Gulf Coast going through this far?? !!

    Re: Re: March Madness 2013

You know what...I am not out of this yet. If Syracuse can win it all (nobody picked them) and they sure look good. I have 3 out of 4 final 4 teams remaining, so if those 3 make it along with Syracuse and Syracuse beats Louisville I can win this thing. Need a lot of help though, and I am a huge Syracuse fan at this stage.

Also, I am in second place as of today so I am at least going to enjoy that while it lasts ;)
