After suffering like a rodent with aids for the last year and a half with my sh*tty ass cell phone, where they screwed me into taking one that was INSTANTLY out of date and unable to be updated.

I now own the most sophisticated, meaty, kick ass phone available!

And no its NOT a f*cking iPhone! :neener:

    It is =

    The HTC Desire HD!

My god what an amazing piece of kit............the processing speed and power, as well as web browsing speed and latest versions of the browser, Sense UI, Froyo and the latest version of Android whilst supporting Flash 10.1 (Remember what Flash is iPhone users? ) and also access to ANY Wi-Fi hotspot around.

Its all out of this world............as well as the huge 4.3 inch screen and HD playback.

Plus, an incredible 8 megapixel camera that takes better pictures than our 10 megapixel actual camera............with HD video recording as well.

Im just having loads of fun with it.............not really ever been that bothered about bells and whistles on my phone but this is incredible.
    .
    .
    .
And most importantly..............its better than the iPhone 4. :partydance: :D

Anyone have one/had a chance to play with one?

My roommate has the HTC Evo and loves it... which I believe is the upgraded version of the Desire? I have no clue to be honest. Who's your carrier, James? Sprint? Verizon? AT&T?

Hmmmm, interesting..............I think the "Evo" is actually the same thing, except its called something different here for some reason..............looking at it, it looks kind of the same size wise and a few of the specs are the same but then some are more on mine, weird, need to check it out more.

The Evo came after the Desire, like my Desire HD came after the Desire over here.

Strange though, dont know why it would be called different things here than what you guys have...............all I know is that the Desire HD is the top spec, latest release from HTC, so it must be the same.

As for my carrier..............we have different ones man, no Sprint, Verizon, AT & T..............the only one thats the same is T-Mobile I think.

Im with Orange (actually, isnt Orange in the US?) and we also have ones called O2, Vodafone and 3G.

Cheers man..............glad to just finally have a phone that WORKS and can do stuff! that other one I had..............man the upgrade guys really screwed me.

Havent heard of that Motorola one, I shall check it out...............its probably called Motorola Jazz Club or something over here!

The way you guys talk about these cell phones they must blow you or something  It's a tiny weak ass computer, what's so boner popping about that? Give me a watch phone that can shoot knock out gas, or something, then we'll start talking.

Oh man... you should see one of my friends. He memorized the entire 3 minute or so video of some guy explaining the features of the iPhone 4. It's ridiculous... and obsessive. But that's just him.

I want the iPhone 4, but I'm not exactly financially fit to purchase such a product and it's not a need anyway, just a want. I'm happy with my Blackberry Curve.

Well Chum, it can do a lot of things. Its not just a phone, but it solves a lot of little issues i have that occur day to day. it has good internet access, if i need quick directions, i can look those up. A quick phone number for a restaurant or store, it can happen really fast.

I get my work and home emails on my phone, so i can stay on top of everything i need to.

When I'm at home on my PS3 , often times i use my skype app for a group voice chat on NHL because the voice chat in game is awful

Different apps for different things, just downloaded the xfinity app which can change my channel on my cable box if i can't find the remote.

The pictures it takes are incredible.. very clear, with a beautiful screen. It has 30GB of memory so i can take fairly long videos with great quality.

THere are so many things it can do, not to mention its loaded with tons of music. Its more than a cell phone.. It makes a lot of little hassles, easier by combining everything i need or want on the go into one device.

Haha... I'm with Chum in this one... as long as it allows me to make and take calls and text people, I don't need anything else in my phone.

Either way, I woulnd't have time to learn how to use other features...

wow, what a coincidence TMC. My two year commitment just ended on that Motorola phone so I am going to upgrade... but was a good phone! Really liked the durability of it when I was out dodging land mines.

Lol you guys are too much! I never made a big deal about phones , in fact when I first joined sprint , I had the phone that is free with activation. Then I went To the blackberry, which was cool. Then my work gave me an iPhone 4. It's awesome and I like that I can do more than take and make phone calls. In fact I'm using the thing to post this right now :)

Rob, are you using just the browser or have you used the Tapatalk app? I use Tapatalk on my iPhone and it makes reading and responding to this forum so much better.

definitely worth it if you find yourself checking the forum fairly regularly with your phone (or wish to do so).
