A friend of mine is starting a FFB money league. The league will be a private league on NFL.com and you will need a PayPal account to play.

There is debate right now on whether it will be a $50.00 entry or $100.00 entry. We are also discussing a winner take all pot or to portion it out among the playoff teams.

If you are interested let me know. Input from all interested, potential owners, will be considered for rule finalization.

Nobody is interested? We are going to shoot for a 12 person league. Our initial thoughts on the payouts...

$50.00 per person in a 12 person league
    1st Place = $300.00
    2nd Place = $150.00
    3rd Place = $100.00
4th Place = $50.00 (win you money back)

$100.00 per person in a 12 person league
    1st Place = $600.00
    2nd Place = $300.00
    3rd Place = $200.00
4th Place = $100.00 (win you money back)

I'll have to pass. I have another league with close friends that we're completely overhauling and I wanna give that 100% dedication.

Good luck, bro. Don't go drafting Phil Dawson with your first pick now!

Sorry Chum... in 3 pay leagues already totaling a $500 committment... think that is my limit.

My thoughts on payouts... I would distribute it a bit more. Not just base payouts on end of year finish... you could dominate the whole year (finish 12-1) then in first week of playoffs your starting QB goes down in 1st qtr and you lose and you win NOTHING. That is rough.

In my league we give $40 to top point scorer of each week and $20 to the 2nd highest scorer. This promotes activity even at the end of the season when eliminated from playoffs you could still win a weekly prize.

Then we give regular season bonus. $100 to each of the two division winners. $50 to each of the division runner ups. $25 to the 3rd place finishers in each division. Then for the Super Bowl, the winner gets 80% of the remaining pot while the SB loser gets $20.

Of course you can scale down the $ to fit your entry fee. But keep in mind that we also charge $5 for EVERY free agent acquisition so the pot grows from the initial $2,500 of entry fees.

But this sort of thing allows you to recoup some of your entry fee during the year with good weeks so that if you catch one unlucky break in the first round of the playoffs, you are not left holding your dick.

    Just something to chew on.

I'm gonna pass on this one as well, Chum. I just don't get any fun from a fantasy league when there's money involved.

Yeah. I don't do the pay thing either.
If I did, I would want to play several seasons of non $$ leagues before I try the pay leagues.
So I wouldn't be ready for you until 2015 or so...

Think I would only do a pay league if it was one where I could properly meet and do drafts with the guys, good luck with it though Chum.

Are you still going to do our league here? also, Xbay, sounds like you might not be up for ours either?

I'm debating on the WRT league. I really only enjoy doing one league a year and I have to admit that a money league is more appealing to me.

Yes, I'll still be able to do the board league, Bigs. I just didn't want to tie up another investment with a second money league when I'm working on mines. With a free league, I at least have some flexibility since it's not as demanding as a pay league.
