Thanks for the input, fellas. I'm "weak" at QB, Bigs, cause they went early. Rodgers, Vick, Brady, Rivers, and Manning all came off the board in the first round. Brees came off as the draft wrapped around. I took McCoy, then Flacco, Romo and Ryan came off the board again. I went with Fitz with Schaub (taken after) still around. I was aiming for Josh Freeman, but he was taken 5 picks after me. I got Kolb in the 9th round.

A couple RBs that went undrafted...

Mikel LeShoure, Daniel Thomas, Ryan Williams, DeMarco Murray, James Starks

    WRs...

Mike Williams (SEA), Jacoby Jones, Mike Sims-Walker

    QBs...

Ryan Fitzpatrick, Matt Hasselbeck, Jason Campbell, Andy Dalton, Alex Smith

    TEs...

Greg Olsen, Ben Watson, Ed Dickson

    DEF...

Miami, Dallas, Tennessee, St. Louis, Houston

One of my friends owns 3 QBs. Yeah, you read that right... 3 when he has Rodgers as his starter. He says he's holding on to Big Ben and Cutler for trade bait, but I'm not buying into either.

Man, I assume you got McCoy in the 2nd round which would have been what... the 20th pick? That is GREAT value. I think you got 2 of the top 8 RB's which is FANTASTIC. I think you also ended up with two of the top 8 WR's.

This obviously is the strength of your team. Personally this is where I want the strength of my team. At RB and WR. The other positions are easier to fill in free agency. Obviously your QB spot has a lot of risk but I think you did well to ignore the QB position to gain such strength at your starting RB and WR

Man, those first 6 picks are solid as hell............well done Ray.

Damn on the options available to you on the wire.............no Garrard? f*ck, even Sanchez or Newton would be better than McNabb me feels. Take Fitzpatrick if Garrard or Sanchez arent there.

As for the WR's, man, again.............got to find someone who is worth a punt at, someone like Donnie Avery (or Sims-Walker because of the same reason) could be a good shout with the way their offense is going to go with McDaniels, as well as Bradford improving.

Man, Arrelious Benn got drafted? Emmanuel Sanders? Id take any of the above instead of Ward.

As for the D............I think Dallas is going to be a much improved defensive team this year, dont know why.

Oh, Garrard is there. Sanchez and Newton were taken. I was looking at Sims-Walker, but they have a flurry at WR in Amendola, Alexander, Avery and Sims-Walker.

Benn, I believe is on the wire. I'd have to check, though. Sanders did, however, who was another person I looked at cause defenses will zero in on Mike Wallace now.

Alright, I'm gonna choose between Benn, Avery and Sims-Walker. Who would you guys recommend?

    Id go Avery.

As much as they have a few options there, I think he is going to shine through the most with a pass mad co-ordinator and a an improving Bradford.

Arrelious Benn is coming back from an ACL. He had a couple of good games before he ended the season, and has looked pretty recovered so far, but it's still early to bet highly on him.

I'd go with Sims-Walker, who should have a good year as a top target for Bradford, even above Avery.

Honestly I would stick with Hines Ward over any of those guys although they are all around the same ranking so really a matter of preference.

I just look at it and suggested it from a potential good numbers point of view.............I mean Ward, as Rob so perfectly put, blows and is going to decline badly this year.

Whereas someone like Avery could very blossom this year, into something pretty good.............so its low yield consistency vs potential big numbers, Id always rather take the risk, especially when we are talking about back ups.

I understand the reward vs risk, and hell, if pickups are free, then by all means do it. Our league charges $5 per acquisition and because all those guys are very similar, I would just stick with Hines.

This is a guy who has had 90+ catches like 5 times in his career including 95 just two years ago. Yes, he is on the decline but he certainly does not blow. He is NOT an elite WR but you guys are comparing him to Avery, Benn and Mike Sims-Walker.

Avery is boom or bust. Hate those guys. He is their deep threat. He will be one of those guys that has 2-3 catches a game... so you have to get lucky and catch him in one of the few weeks where one of those is a 50+ yard TD. He is one of those guys that scores 3pts, 5pts, 2pts, 15pts, 4pts, 3pts, 17pts, etc. Benn is coming off injury and his rookie year and Tampa does not throw enough for my liking so I think it comes down to Ward or Sims-Walker from that group. Walker probably has bigger upside but this is a guy who had ZERO interest from teams in Free Agency and was only able to land a one year deal from the Rams.

I think Xbay said that Mike Williams was not drafted. I would think he is a better option that ANY of those guys.

I just don't like Hines Ward.... was not Fantasy advice at all :) . I just wish he'd retire so i wont have to hear the announcers gush over how gritty he is. I bet if Hines Ward was a commentator, they'd call him the grittiest commentator in the world..... just irritates me.. thats all !

Ok fellas, need your thoughts here.

In one of my leagues, the guy who is commish is making quite a few trades............and Im a little sus on some of them, take a look =

1 - On the same day, within a couple of hours of each other, these 2 trades happened with the same "person" =

He trades = Javid Best for Joseph Addai.

Then a few hours later, he trades = Ryan Grant for Percy Harvin and Javid Best.

So, within a few hours, he got Addai, Harvin and Javid Best for Ryan Grant (I know he already head Best but you see what I mean).

    2 - With a different "person" a few weeks later =

He trades = LeGarrette Blount and Ahmad Bradshaw for Roddy White.

    3 - Then 2 days later, with a 3rd new "person" =

He trades = Larry Fitzgerald for LeSean McCoy.
    .
    .
    .
Point of note: NONE of the trades appeared where they normally do to be vetoed or not.............they just happened.

His team now looks like this

    QB - Tom Brady
    WR - DeSean Jackson
    WR - Roddy White
    RB - Adrian Peterson
    RB - LeSean McCoy
    TE - Antonio Gates
    RB - Joseph Addai

    WR - Steve Smith (Car)
    RB - Best Mode
    RB - Javid Best
    WR - Percy Harvin
    QB - Sam Bradford

What do you guys think?.............fishy?..............I mean he has a pretty good team to begin with from the draft but with these trades its now a little crazy, plus the whole not being able to veto?

well I don't think the trades are lopsided. The only think fishy is that the result of the trades were Ryan Grant for Addai and Harvin. Why did they not just do that in the first place? Was in based on the timing of the LeShoure injury. Like he traded Best but then the news broke so he traded Grant to get Best back? That would make sense to me.

Without seeing everyones roster it is hard to say. On the suface I dont like the White trade for Blount and Bradshaw but if the guy giving up White is strong at WR and weak at RB, then it makes a lot of sense (although I would have wanted a more proven starting RB in return for one of the premier wr's)

But man, that guys starting lineup looks UNBEATABLE.

Ohh no man, the Best deal was over a month a go.............just seemed crazy and a hell of a lot for Ryan Grant.

And as you say, the 2 iffy RB's in Blount and Bradshaw for a premier WR.

Its those 2 things that have made me not very happy and asking questions............which are not being answered, as well as why there was no option to veto.

Plus, all its all been in his favour...........and hes the commish. :|

I only played in one league this year so that I could focus on one team. I drafted Jamaal Charles and Peyton Manning.....FML.

Ohh sh*t man............thats rough as hell.

I had Peyton in 2 of my leagues and Charles in the other............but luckily (as you may have seen in this thread) I traded Charles for Foster 2 days before he lost his ACL.

Fitzpatrick is who my replacement for Peyton is so far.............

Who did you get/getting to address both of them then?
