    5th straight Western Conference Finals!

Would be nice to get KD back at some point in this series but I am not hopeful. We should be able to win this series without him, although wont be easy. At least in this series we will be able to use our bench more. With Kanter, Bogut should easily be able to start which will help our rotations.

I agree with that, i feel like we can exhale just a little.. and get back to some rotations. Defending Dame and CJ will be tough.. but i think we have the guys that can make it tough on them. On the other side, i don't see them defending well enough to pull it out.

Should be an easy one with KD, a bit harder without him, but still, I think we should close the series in 6 games. But Dame vs Steph is going to be ridiculously fun. Dame wanted to prove who was the best vs Russ (not that it was too hard, I've always thought Russ is good, but vastly overrated) and now he's going to go head to head vs Steph. It's going to be a great series to watch.

In a true moment of honesty, who do you think Dell and Sonya want to see win? I think arguments could be made for both sons. One of their boys is going to the Finals so that is sweet, but this is an interesting dilemma. I know about the coin flip thing they are doing but I do wonder DEEP DEEP down, who they would truly root for.

I think they have a soft spot for Seth in a way, but i think the fact that Steph is a bigger force on his team, they will deep down root for the Warriors. I'm sure part of them will say, Steph has had his time, and they'd love to see Seth experience it.. but with Seth being a bench guy, it is a little different.

Those are the exact arguments that have been going through my head and I landed on Steph just like you... especially the chance to 3 peat which has been done so infrequently.

Steph. It's about legacy at this point of his career, so it shouldn't be "too hard" to make the choice. Also, Seth is going to be a free agent, so they sure want him to do well himself and have a great series, but he might not even be a Blazer next year.

Pretty sure it hurts like hell having to watch one of them beat the other, tho...

Why am I nervous already? Its 8:45am and I’m not even on the team.

    On paper, we got this.
But I’m concerned that a hyper determined Lillard and a slipping back into slump Curry may be all it takes to turn the series. Somebody talk me down off this ledge!!

The closer it has gotten, the more nervous i am getting.. so i'm with you there. I think the Warriors will find their flow a lot easier than they did against Houston, I just want to see them defend that backcourt and rebound. Two WCF's going on at the same time.. i'm a fucking wreck.

KD is out for game 1, probably out for game 2 as well. Let's see what happens, because that gives Portland a chance... I've got the feeling we're going 1-1 to Portland...

I'm really going to have to see how they defend the Warriors before I can predict that. I feel like Houston slowed the pace so much and made each possession so important. If the Warriors can get out and run, they can go on bigger runs. I never felt like the Warriors could get out to a 15 or 20 point lead against Houston.

I think playing with a slow tempo is the best way to beat this Warriors team. Particularly with KD out. Let's see what Portland can do in that regard, because they're a team that doesn't do particularly well in that kind of games. Not offensively, at least, because their defense is pretty underrated.

I think it just limits how they can run.. and especially at Oracle.. it kills a lot of the momentum.

And we'll see about that defense.. they haven't played really explosive offensive teams in the playoffs.

Oh man, the Warriors are so much fun to watch when KD isn't playing. The constant movement with and without the ball. Swarming defense. It's a thing of beauty.

Not trying to shit on KD. He's great, but the game isn't as pretty when he's on the court.

Van Gundy and Jackson were talking about how silly it is to say the Warriors were better without KD... as the Warriors make a beautiful fast break that leads to an uncontested Klay flying dunk while the Blazers search the floor for their jocks.

I dont think they are better. I saw plenty of easy dunks based off of ball movement last series. I think Playing Houston makes it look like the Warriors are a different team, because the pace is slower and they force a lot of iso ball.

The Blazers looked tired tonight. Their shots weren’t falling and they had no idea how to guard Curry. Meanwhile, the Warriors blitzed the crap out of Lillard.

Should be interesting to see what adjustments Terry Stotts makes for G2. It’s a quick turnaround for them with no real full chance to recover mentally from that Denver series. They can’t use the same rotations they used tonight.

Well, they can improve at not giving Steph so many open looks, but I don't think there's much they can't do with their rotation. They just don't have anything else. Anfernee Simmons is not ready to play meaningful playoff minutes yet and Nurkic was the one that gave them something different, but he's not available. So, in terms of rotation, they have what they have, and that's not much. It's a minor miracle they made it to the WCF.

So they can fine-tune their defense, but there ain't much Stotts can do with the lack of talent Portland outside their main guys.

That felt too easy. Hope it does lead to lazyness and a lack of focus in Game 2.

Man, I dont get Stotts thinking here. He is a very good coach but last night was stupid. You CANT defend Steph like that! That was just too easy. In what world do you game plan to let Steph have easy looks from 3? That was just plain stupid.
