I wish the Bucks had won game 6, just to give Toronto less rest. The Raptors now get 4 full days off.

Warriors in 6. It seems strange going on the road for the first 2 games. They did it last year at Houston, so not unprecedented. Toronto is a long ass flight, but the Dubs will be very well rested.

I wonder when they will head out to Toronto. I do sorta like starting on the road in this case.. they just need to snatch one of those two.. though starting at home would give them the travel advantage.

Im pumped for game 1.. it will be annoying to hear all of the lead up to game 1 with all these different opinions and predictions. I just want to see it all play out.

Crazy reading some of the Raptor fan comments regarding the predictions that the Warriors are heavily favored in this series.

Our guys better be prepared for a VERY HOSTILE environment in Toronto. They (other team's fans) absolutely hate the Warriors.

If they keep their level of play up and above the level they've sustained these last two series, there's not a doubt in my mind they will win.
Its the surprise bulldozer game or bad officiating and a Draymond suspension type situation that worries me the most.
Our guys have proven that they can and will rise to the occasion, so I'm going to put those worries away as "my fears"...
Do NOT let up Dubs! Foot on the gas, other foot on the neck of the Raptors!!

Somehow, Patrick McCaw ended up back in the Finals for a third straight year. And he may not see any PT at all. If he was still here, he’d probably be part of that 2nd unit rotation. What a bizarre saga that was for a couple of months.

I kind of think not having home court as a good thing for us. Having been off for so long we might not be extremely sharp... have that edge. Especially if we were playing at home. Complacency is our enemy. Going into a hostile environment I think helps us get focused RIGHT away. Also, all the pressure is on the Raptors starting off at home.

The way they can defend and their length scares me a bit, but we are used to playing this long... we know what it takes to win a championship. We wont be rattled. Same can't be said for them.

I think this series is going to be about offense. Our offense, more precisely. If we manage to get to 110 points, the Raptors are dead. If we don't go over 105 points, then they have options. So it's our offense vs their defense. They can't keep up with our scoring on their own. Not that I'm saying anything new, of course...

Also, let's see what happens with KD. He's out the first game, most likely second too (I think they know he's also out for the second, they're just not saying... I just wonder if he's out for the whole series and the franchise is not saying). Problem is, we really need him for this series. If I'm Toronto, I'm gonna put Kawhi on Steph, Green on Klay and let them try to beat me with a slow tempo game. So KD could be key if he can get back in time.

I think Toronto is a very good team, better than the Cavs have been the last few years. I think we win in 6 games, but it's going to be a great and tough finals matchup.

ok, two days til tip off... Man, I am so pumped... lol

Something about this series... maybe because it's finally not vs. the Lebrons, maybe because KD probably won't even play, maybe it's the threepeat.. but

I REALLY WANT THEM TO WIN THIS SERIES!!!!

    GO DUBS GO!!

Kawhi on Steph might pay off for the Warriors in the long run. Unless he's not chasing Steph around, which benefits us as well.

I think the Warriors are going to force the Raptors to play small, get the rebounding advantage and look to push.

Rob, yes, I think we have to push. We get into a half court series I think we lose the series. This is probably the best defense we have played in the playoffs in the entire 5 year run

Yea im so interested in seeing the offense vs. That defense. On the other hand, im curious to see how the Raptors perform on offense. I saw a lot of attention on Kawhi against Milwaukee..and a lot of deferring by Leonard. The defense needs to close out on 3 pt. Shooters

I don't know about that... Kawhi has been the best player in these playoffs, doing a great job on both sides of the court. The Raptors kept him out of 22 games during the regular season, keeping him fresh for the playoffs, and that resting time is showing.

Of course, if KD could play, all would be different, because there's not a single guy they could focus their defense on. But with KD out, it gets easier for Toronto's defense.

In any case, I think this Raptors defense is the best we've faced in our five years run. They just aren't explosive enough to win a high-scoring game, so going small and playing high-tempo makes a lot of sense from our side. Rebounding will be key in that scenario, tho.

He looked gassed to me in the 4th quarter of game 6.

GAME DAY!!!!! Man, getting a bit nervous now.

The arena is going to be WILD! If we can survive the opening half energy and emotion from the Raps and their fans and our rust, I think we will pull it out late. It will be interesting how they defend us and how we do against this really good defense. I would say their entire starting 5 can be/are all-nba defensive teams caliber.

I'm looking forward to that as well. Warriors need a solid first to let the crowd settle. Maybe its the negative thoughts i always have leading up to a finals series (where my mind thinks of everything going as wrong as possible), i just have these images of lazy steph passes turned over for breakway dunks. One thing i see toronto do, is they switch hard off of the screen. So some of those lazy entry passes the Warriors think are automatic, will get eaten up.

But i think Draymond will get things opened up and steph and klay will get running. I do think the Warriors set better screens than the other teams Toronto has played, so that will be a factor as well.

I woke up at 5am and could not get back to sleep. I have chicken marinating and dinner will be ready by 5.

Too many unknowns right now. I will feel better once I see these two teams play and our guys win...

That's exactly how i feel.. I always get this feeling prior to the game that it will be insurmountable... against Cleveland, i always felt like Lebron would just get to the rim at will and be unstoppable. With the Raptors, it feels like they will just dominate on defense.. not that i feel like that overall, just gameday, i need to see them play the game, and then i can relax a little.

I think they will make it rough on Curry. He will have to battle all series... look are not going to come easy. Would be nice to see Klay get hot. The thing that has me feeling confident is Draymond. The way he is playing right now is amazing. If he does what he did vs Portland and grab those rebounds and push the pace it will do wonders!

Rob, I feel the same way about the lazy passes. Especially from Curry... two things that drive me crazy about Curry is body language (when things are not easy) and those lazy passes. Not even with just his stupid lazy over the shoulder passes but even those simple passes to the wing or post... they are just slow lob passes. Drives me nuts. One thing I drilled into the kids I coached is that EVERY pass has to be purposeful, with intent, and SHARP.

Not only does it give the chance for it to be stolen, but also allows the defender to easily close the gap by the time the recipient gets the ball. If I could change one thing about Curry, that is it.
