We can't make it for Week 1, but I was thinking that for this year, if you're interested, we do our regular picks and each game picked correctly is worth 1 point with one game that we feel most confident in be the final jeopardy styled pick OR we focus on the Monday Night game as our final jeopardy pick, where we can wager as many points as we own, however, that game will be based on Vegas odds, rather than who we believe will win the game. So say after Week 1, you picked all sixteen games correctly. So for Week 2, you'd make your picks, and for whichever game you're most confident in, you can wager up to 16 points. Example with 16 points...

    WEEK 1

    THU, SEP 8
    CAR @ DEN

    SUN, SEP 11
    MIN @ TEN
    CHI @ HOU
    CLE @ PHI
    BUF @ BAL
    SD @ KC
    OAK @ NO
    TB @ ATL
    CIN @ NYJ
    GB @ JAC
    MIA @ SEA
    NYG @ DAL
    DET @ IND
    NE @ ARI

    MON, SEP 12
    PIT (-3) @ WAS (+3) 8pts
    LA (-1) @ SF (+1) 8pts

Since there are two MNF games in this example, we'll distribute our points as we wish. Let's say I got all 14 picks correct before Monday, and then the MNF games, I got both right. That's 16 points including the 14, so you sit at 30pts for the week. If one is wrong and one is right, subtract the difference. If both wrong, you sit at -2.

If you guys have other suggestions or would rather keep the same format, lay them out here.

Sweet. Since this is our first week, there's no betting. We'll start doing that in Week 3. But just for Week 2 since we missed Week 1, I'll post the spreads for TNF, SNF and MNF and if guessed correctly, you'll get two points. I won't subtract if you guess wrong just for this week. And then starting Week 3, you can wager your points on only ONE of the premiere games in TNF, SNF or MNF's spread. So here goes...

    WEEK 2

    THU, SEP 15
    NYJ (+2.5) @ BUF (-2.5)

    SUN, SEP 18
    NO @ NYG
    TEN @ DET
    DAL @ WAS
    KC @ HOU
    MIA @ NE
    BAL @ CLE
    SF @ CAR
    CIN @ PIT
    TB @ ARI
    SEA @ LA
    ATL @ OAK
    JAC @ SD
    IND @ DEN
    GB (-3.5) @ MIN (+3.5)

    MON, SEP 19
    PHI (+1) @ CHI (-1)

Cool. Let's go with the Week 2 picks, without betting. Winners in bold.

    WEEK 2

    THU, SEP 15
NYJ (+2.5) @ BUF (-2.5) - Neither can afford starting 0-2, just like the Jets defense better.

    SUN, SEP 18
NO @ NYG - Delvin Breaux is out, Bird's next big play will be his first as a Saint and, with that, the Saints have the worst starting secondary in the NFL. Vaccaro alone won't be enough.

TEN @ DET - Love the Lions offense vs the Colts. And their defense should be good enough vs the Titans.

DAL @ WAS - In Kirk we trust... Also, really hope they put Norman on Bryant this time...

KC @ HOU - The Chiefs are playing with fire, and their defense isn't the same without Justin Houston. Also, Rottweiler can really be what the Texans needed at QB. Him and Lamar Miller can be a huge upgrade for their offense.

MIA @ NE - I like Adam Gase, but it's too soon to expect Miami to win this kind of games. Their defense did alright vs Seattle, tho.

BAL @ CLE - Cleveland decided to tank for the next three seasons. Will win a couple of games, because Hue is a good coach, but not vs the Ravens.

SF @ CAR - Sorry, really rooting for the Niners on this game, but I don't think they'll be able to surprise the Panthers on the road.

CIN @ PIT - Game of the week. Big Ben to Antonio Brown is the best connection in football. Those two alone give the Steelers the chance to win any game. Their secondary is not good, so it's going to be a good game, but playing at home gives the edge to Pittsburgh... that, and they really are in the Bengals heads.

TB @ ARI - Huge win at Atlanta last week, playing great, but I don't think we're at a level that can allow us to win on the road vs a hurt Cards team. Hope we make it a close game, tho, as it's going to be a great test to see where we really are.

SEA @ LA - Rooting for Seattle on this one, but their o-line is laughable, and that's not a great endorsement vs the Rams d-line. And the Rams play their first official game back in LA. And the Rams usually play well vs Seattle... Really hope to be wrong.

ATL @ OAK - Atlanta has some talent, but it's a work in progress. They missed Keanu Neal a lot last week. Certainly not ready to stop the Raiders offense.

JAC @ SD - The Chargers season might already be over with all the Bosa drama and after losing Allen for the season... Not a great way to put fans on the stands and get them to vote for a new stadium in San Diego.

IND @ DEN - Surprise of the week. The Colts beat the Donkeys last year with an injured Luck and their offense is really good. The Colts D is nothing to talk about, but it's not like Denver is a powerhouse on offense.

GB (-3.5) @ MIN (+3.5) Bradford time! I think he's a good fit for Minny... but Aaron Rodgers is not human and will do just enough to win the game.

    MON, SEP 19
PHI (+1) @ CHI (-1) - Really liked Wentz on week 1, but it was against the Browns. The Bears defense is underrated and will be a completely different kind of animal.

Points updated on first post. Remember, you can wager as many points as you have on ANY prime time game against the spread, but ONLY one game. The other two will be judged based on the winner and not the spread. I just posted those so you don't have to look it up.

    WEEK 3

    THU, SEP 22

HOU (-2.5) @ NE (+2.5).- Not gonna put any points on this one. The Texans defense is doing really well, Hopkins is seeing less double coverage with Fuller on the team and Rottwailer is playing well. Plus, I've got the feeling the Pats are going to realize they're going with their thrid string QB...

    SUN, SEP 25

BAL @ JAC.- Win or win game for the Jags. They should have beaten the Packers, played poorly and lost deservedly at San Diego... got the feeling they're going to bounce back this week with a big win.

WAS @ NYG.- The Giants defense looks much improved, and the passing game is really good, even tho they're not in top form yet. And the Redskins haven't played that well yet, particularly on offense. The division is there for the Giants taking it.

DET @ GB.- The Packers have issues, but the Lions lost a must win game last week at home. Don't have much confidence in them heading into Lambeau.

CLE @ MIA.- This is the season for Tannehill to prove he can be a starting NFL QB. So far, it doesn't look pretty... but the Dolphins D is good enough to win this one by itself.

MIN @ CAR.- What an amazingly well coached the Vikings are... then again, there's a point where you just can't go more without the right pieces. Carolina will be too much for them.

DEN @ CIN.- Don't like the way the Bengals have started the season, despite the win in NY. Time to get back on track.

ARI @ BUF.- Cards proved last week they're one of the four or five teams that are legitimate SB contenders. The Bills are a mess, as proven by Rex firing Roman two weeks into the season when the offense was pretty decent vs the Jets.

OAK @ TEN.- Oakland won't go anywhere until they fix the defense. Got the feeling Mack and co. will do much better this week.

LA @ TB.- Tough game this week, vs a very good defense. Then again, the Rams offense doesn't scare anybody and they're on the road vs a team that's really hurt after last week defeat.

SF @ SEA.- Seattle has a world class defense, but they have to fix the o-line issues and, well, the whole offense to be real contenders again.

PIT @ PHI.- Welcome to your first real NFL rival, Carson Wentz.

NYJ @ KC.- The Jets have to fix that secondary to go anywhere. The Chiefs are a good rival to do just that.

SD @ IND.- Luck is too good to go 0-3, the Colts as a whole are not... but I've got the feeling thye're gonna beat the Chargers this week.

CHI (+4) @ DAL (-4).- Chicago is in turmoil, and it's only week 3...

    MON, SEP 26

ATL (+3.5) @ NO (-3.5) (6 pts).- Yes, I'm a closet Saints fan, but the fact is that the Saints defense (except for that hideous last quarter vs the Raiders) is improved and the offense remains realiable. The Falcons only have one side of the field working...

Updated. Rob totaled 16. Those 6 points plus 1 point for the TNF game was a good start and it only went up from there. TMC got six picks correct, however, he waged six points on the MNF game so it knocked him his total down for this week to 0.
